At Flower Haven, with an elevated position, we enjoy panoramic views of the sweep of Bream Bay and off shore islands. We overlook the Waipu Cove Surf Beach with its constantly changing surf and which is visited by schools of dolphins.Our accommodation is a self-contained downstairs two bedroomed apartment with separate access. The bathroom has been tiled with all modern fittings.

A continental breakfast is offered as an extra if required (we make our own bread).

A new restaurant, a cafe with takeaway meals and a dairy are all just a short walk away and there are others a few minutes' drive away.

It is also a five minute walk to a sandy surf beach and rocks and we are near many places of interest such as a bird sanctuary, museums, golf courses, horse riding treks, chartered fishing trips, limestone caves, walking tracks and Marsden Point Oil Refinery visitors centre.

Our quarter acre plus grounds are being developed as a garden retreat with strategically placed seating taking in various views. Many guests comment on the birdlife around our grounds, with tuis, kingfishers, rosellas, silvereyes and fantails delighting the senses.

There is a small area in lawn where croquet can be played for personal pleasure and also a paved area in the garden is set aside for a BBQ.

Directions / Map
DIRECTIONS: 1½ hours drive north of Auckland on State highway 1. Turn right to Waipu township. Carry on through Waipu then 8km to the south on Cove Road, turn right into St Ann Rd, Flower Haven is the last property on left.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: turn right from SH1 north of Te Hana and travel through Mangawhai and Langs Beach then a short drive to Waipu Cove turning left into St Ann Road.

OR 40km south of Whangarei and turn left to Waipu township
